Museum of national artist of Ukraine Mykhaylo Bilas.

It was opened in 1992.

It is a first lifetime museum in Ukraine. It was opened in a city, where the artist lived. The museum is located in villa “Hoplyana” – one of the most beautiful houses of Truskavets, built in the end of 19th century.

Mykhaylo Bilas is a fruitful and a multifaceted artist. His hands create carpets, sackcloths (verety), tapestries, wool blankets (lizhnyky), embroidered napkins, runners, pillows. He is a master of textile plastics, vividly expressive toys and decorative flowers, an author of splendid scene panels and appliqués. He is also a fine colorist, a “composer of colours”.
