Methods of treatment in Truskavets

In sanatoriums and villas the most modern methods of treatment are used: balneotherapy, hydroozonotherapy and physiotherapeutic procedures, there are more than 120 kinds of methods. Here are the main methods of treatment in Truskavets resort.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a therapeutic usage of air, saturated by volatile substances of plants. Aromatic substances, which are produced by plants (phytoncides, terpenes, essential oils), during inhalation get into the upper nasal tracts, activate cells of olfactory bulb, stimulate neurons of olfactory cortex of limbic system, which determines the emotional and motivational reactions to various chemical substances.

Galvanic bath

It is one of the electrotherapy kinds. Water and direct current of low voltage and little intensity (which does not change in time) affect the patient at the same time. It is known that the patient, who is immersed in a bath, has a significant increase of blood flow in skin. The principal amount of energy of current is absorbed by skin because of its big resistance, then the current is mainly distributed in blood and lymphatic vessels.

Hydrocolonotherapy

Hydrocolonotherapy is one of the new methods, which is used for prophylaxis of many diseases of intestines, and also with the aim of organism purification in patients with chronic diseases of internal organs, for suspension of aging processes.

Vacuum-therapy

It is a therapeutic influence of decreased atmospheric pressure on the tissues and organs with the help of vacuum-applicator. It has wonderful lymph-draining, spasmolytic and anti-inflammatory effect. Combination of periods of local increase and decrease of air pressure promotes the improvement of muscular vessels tone and selective capillary permeability.

Hydroozonotherapy

Hydroozonotherapeutic treatment in Truskavets is a method of ozonotherapy with usage of ozone-oxygen mix in the bath. Ozonotherapy has a complex influence on the organism, it has anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating action, enhances microcirculation and metabolism.

Carbon dioxide bath

Carbon dioxide bath is a procedure, when bubbles of carbon dioxide in water of 32-36°С settle on the patient`s body and stimulate skin receptors, dilate blood vessels, improve blood circulation, normalize neural activity and metabolism, stimulate the function of the endocrine glands, especially sexual. These bubbles also have cardiotonic effect and massage the patient’s skin.

Dry carbon dioxide bath

In dry carbon dioxide bath each of the influencing factors – thermal and chemical – has its peculiarities. During procedures carbon dioxide and steam affects the patient’s skin. Steam causes widening of the skin vessels, increase of blood flow in microcirculatory channels and skin hyperemia. It helps carbon dioxide to enter the organism and increases cellular respiration.

Speleotherapy

It is a therapeutic usage of salt aerosol (sodium chloride) for treatment to the respiratory system organs (subacute bronchitis, chronic nonobstructive bronchitis with asthmatic component, chronic obstructive bronchitis without signs of pulmonary heart, bronchial asthma, tracheobronchitis, pneumonia in a reconvalescence stage), diseases of otolaryngologic organs and skin (eczema, neurodermatitis, allergic dermatitis, alopecia areata).
